Taking the steps

Happy New Year!! The first day of 2006! I started my bible journal this morning. Here's one of the verses that really impacted me from The Message (Ps 73:23-24):

I'm still in your presence,
but you've taken my hand.
You wisely and tenderly lead me,
and then you bless me.

We played Mario Party on the computer last night with Jen until 11:57 when the game ended and we watched the ball drop. Today's verses reminded me of the game. It's a board game on game cube where you spin to know how many spaces to walk on the board and along the way you either earn coins or get them taken plus other tests or benefits happen. It seems so much like life. One of the special things you can get is armour that encases your character so that he walks right thru the bad spaces without being affected. God longs to bless us. He is holding out the armour every day--all we have to do is ask for it and let it cover us before we spin to see how many steps we'll take that day. and hold his hand...
