Forever and ever

A friend told me that as she watched her mother die, she and her family said, "Who IS this?" Their mother suddenly seemed like a stranger to them because all that made her who she was disappeared. She said it really made her realize we have a soul. That soul, the essence of who her mom was, went to see the face of God, and her body was no longer her!

In watching all the photos of Mark Sims at his memorial service, we so strongly realized that what matters is relationships. How wonderful that Mark had written a whole article 12 years ago expressing his faith and thoughts when he was given 12 to 18 months to live and then for us to have seen through the past 12 years how his life was transformed by his belief in Jesus.

We need to make sure our families know concretely, on paper even, how much we love the Lord and how we trust HIM and how our soul is safe in HIM even when our body is fading. God is our hope and our joy!

This is really Sara...

What a powerful testimony of his legacy that he will leave for his wife, children, and future grandchildren. I pray that God's blessings and peace will be with their family as they grieve this loss.
